Two founders ship farther than one.
Tandem is a recommendation network for indie SaaS founders. Embed one widget. Your tool meets other founders' users, and theirs meets yours. A friendly swap. Completely free.
<script> tag Default-off toggles · user consent first Free, full stop01 · The problem
You shipped a great product. Nobody's coming.
You posted on Reddit. You launched on Product Hunt. You posted on Twitter for the seventeenth time this week. You got 12 signups. Three of them were your friends.
Every indie SaaS founder is fighting for attention against everyone else. Cold email is saturated. Twitter is a coin flip. SEO takes a year you don't have. Paid ads cost more than your MRR.
r/SaaS, every week
“Drop your SaaS. Tell us what you built. We'll all pretend we're going to sign up for each other's stuff.”
Meanwhile, eight other indie founders building stuff your users would love are running the same broken loops. There's a version of this where you just trade.
So we're building it.
✦ A look at the widget
This is what your users see.
Right after they sign up for your waitlist, signup flow, or dashboard, they meet three indie tools the network thinks they'll love.
Toggles start off. They flip on the ones they're curious about. One friendly short note goes out, to the same address they just gave you. That's it.

three indie tools the founders here actually love.

2 min agoHey from InboxRoot
Hey,
Saw you signed up for Layerly. Maya's product is great, rooting for her.
You flipped the InboxRoot toggle, so just sending a quick note. InboxRoot is cold email infrastructure for one-person teams. Built it because I got tired of bouncing between five tools to send a single sequence.
If you want to chat, just hit reply. No funnel, no sequence, just me.
— Riley
✦ And then they get this
One short note. From the founder.
No sequence. No funnel. No drip campaign. Just a short note from the founder who built the tool, sent once, to the same address the user already gave you.
Human, not transactional. The user can reply or ignore. The founder runs their own conversation from there.
02 · How it works
Three moves. That's the whole thing.
Ten minutes to set up. Distribution that compounds while you sleep. Here's the mechanic behind the widget above.
Drop in the widget.
One <script> tag. Lives on your waitlist confirmation, signup flow, or dashboard. Looks like part of your product because we let you style it.
Your users see 3 indie tools.
Frictionless by design. Default-off toggles. The widget doesn't interrupt your signup flow or pull users out of onboarding. They opt in if they want more. Otherwise it gets out of the way.
Intros go out. Both ways.
The other founder sends one short note, to the same address your user already gave you. From the founder who built the tool, not a sequence or a funnel. No new accounts, no passwords, no credit cards. You get the same in return.
↳The widget is yours to style. We give you a default that doesn't look like spam. Light mode, dark mode, your fonts, your colors. The whole thing reads as part of your product.
03 · What you get
Six things indie founders actually need.
Leverage each other's distribution
Distribution by trade, not by spend. Borrow other founders' audiences. They borrow yours back. The network compounds with every new embedder.
A growth channel that doesn't cost money
No ad spend. No SEO grind. No begging influencers. Just other founders' audiences trickling in, forever, in exchange for yours.
Audiences that actually fit
Hand-matched pairings at v0 based on ICP, not on who signed up first. If you build for solopreneurs, you're matched with tools solopreneurs want.
A simple founder dashboard
See who saw your tool, who toggled it on, who converted. No vanity metrics. Just the numbers that tell you if this is working.
A network you can lean on
Cross-promo today. Launch swaps next month. Advice and intros on tap. The early founders become a small, real internet for each other.
Completely free. Truly.
No bait, no switch. The core reciprocal swap is free forever. Future paid Boosts will be optional, never required. The free swap always stays free.
✦ Three wins, one widget
Everyone leaves with something they wanted.
Distribution you can't buy.
Your tool gets shown on other indie signup pages. In front of users actively building a stack, actively in the market to buy.
You help them help their users.
You solve a real problem for their user without taxing their funnel. Frictionless on their page. Partners, not parasites.
A stack pointer, not a Google rabbit hole.
Three indie tools, hand-picked, default-off. They leave knowing what to try next. They saved an evening of research.
Get on the list.
Drop your email and where to find what you're building. If it's a fit, you'll get a DM back and a spot in the early network.
04 · Questions you probably have
The honest answers.
Is this just affiliate marketing with a coat of paint?+
No. No money changes hands. No commissions. No tracking pixels. It's a quality-curated trade. Your audience meets ours, ours meets yours. The currency is access, not cash.
What if my audience isn't a good fit for the other founder's tool?+
That's what manual curation is for. At v0, pairings are hand-matched by ICP, not by who signed up first. If you build for solopreneurs, you'll be matched with tools solopreneurs actually want.
When will this actually launch?+
Once enough founders have verbally committed to embedding the widget. The form above isn't 'sign up and forget'. It's the start of a conversation. If the network can't reach critical mass, everyone on the list gets an honest email about what we learned. The kill switch is real.
Wait. It's free. So how do you make money later?+
Tandem is free. Full stop. The core reciprocal swap stays free forever. Eventually we'll add optional paid Boosts for founders who want extra reach beyond the basic swap. Boosts are opt-in, never required, and the free swap always exists. Other surfaces (hosted waitlist tools, analytics) may sit on top later. The thing you signed up for never goes behind a paywall.
What's the catch?+
There isn't one. The obvious worry is 'free now, paid later, locked-in.' Tandem's design prevents that. Your widget keeps working. The reciprocal swap keeps working. If pricing ever changes for any existing feature, the network gets a heads-up first.
